Low Protein Product Supply
MDDA’s highest priority during these times is to make sure that our community has the most accurate and up to date information when it comes to Low protein supply including food, supplements and medication.
MDDA has sought advice from all stakeholders, clinics and suppliers of medicines and supplement/formula/low protein foods.
Below are Supplier Statements:
“Cortex Health is absolutely commitment to supply of both prescription and low protein foods. In this current worldwide state, we are taking extra measures to ensure supply needs. At this point, there is NO shortage of prescription formula & low protein foods from Cambrooke in the US, nor from Cortex. International shipping may be affected and so some particularly popular favour options may be running low – please contact us to discuss. At this point, we are not encouraging stockpiling of prescription nor low protein food items but of course contact us if you have any particular needs or concerns. “Orpharma does not expect there to be any significant disruptions to the supply of pharmaceuticals, supplements or low protein foods to members of the MDDA. However, we request that patients only order products required for immediate consumption. And to place orders at least a week in advance to account for delays in the local freight networks. Please note that Orpharma will no longer be supplying the Mevalia range. We are excited to announce that we will be launching the Promin low protein food range in March 2022. Look out for emails about this launch over the coming months. If you have any questions, please contact Orpharma’s customer service team on +61 3 9863 7411 or [email protected]”
“Vitaflo Australia currently has very strong supplies of stock, of all products. Furthermore, product deliveries are already on their way to us, and have been scheduled for the many months ahead, ensuring Vitaflo Australia have plenty of these essential items. However, as you will be aware, the freight network across Australia has been impacted by staff shortages and unforeseen weather events, which have caused delivery delays. On occasion, product may have taken longer to arrive; at your pharmacy, and/or or your home via the V2U service. To ensure you don’t run out of product, Vitaflo Australia highly recommend placing your order with either your pharmacy or via the V2U service when you have 3 weeks of product remaining. This will allow sufficient time for your new supply to be processed and delivered to you in time for when you need it. If you have any questions please contact the Vitaflo Australia customer services team on 03 5229 8222.”
