MDDA sympathises with all of those affected by the catastrophic bushfires that are occurring across the country this summer.

We encourage any IEM families seeking assistance to contact the MDDA directly at (03) 9723 0600 or [email protected] and we can connect you with the appropriate resources. We also encourage you to reach out via our Patient-only Facebook support group (found here) – as together we can be a powerful supportive network and there are many families around the country on standby willing to help wherever it may be needed.

Just a reminder that if any of our members require social or emotional support in response to the Bushfires, you are welcome to call Jo, our Patient Pathways Telehealth Nurse, (Mon Tues Wed -9am-5pm) for support on (03) 9723 0700 or Freecall: 1800 288 460

If you need medical advice please contact your doctor or metabolic clinic.

We have also been reassured by our medicinal food partners that they are willing to help in any way possible – some offering food parcels to those in need. So please contact your normal providers or the MDDA and we can help facilitate any supply needs you might have.

Wishing you all a safe and well summer in these tough times and let’s reach out and support each other within our close community.
