This Rare Disease Day, 2024, Tilly is helping to spread awareness of PKU within her small school and wider community and helping to raise funds to support The MDDA.
PKU is a rare disorder, it is estimated in Australia that there are approximately 1,600 individuals living with PKU and approximately only 25 babies born each year. As Tilly started school this year, she was excited to raise PKU awareness among her classmates. What better way to do it than with a bake day on the most special and rare day of the year! Tilly is excited about raising funds to help kids just like her!
